For this reason, we actively participate on all continents, in all cultures and in all sorts of local conditions.

Introducing ideas into practice

The company NELUMBO spol. s r. o. laid the foundations for this worldwide integration by founding the Company NELUMBO spol. s r. o. in 2001.
In the following  years it reached several achievements in research and utilization of solar energy.
One of the path-breaking development programs began sometime around 2002, when the Company installed the first island system in Southern Moravia in Czech Republic. From that time until today, the company NELUMBO spol. s r. o. repeatedly celebrates success in installations and deliveries of still more efficient top-end solar power plants.
The aim is to secure alternative energy for the people who wish to improve their living standard regardless of standard energy resources, or who even possibly may not have access to those conventional resources. This also concerns the case of drastic limitation of usage of fossil fuels, having a consequence of the required greenhouse effect, as well as reduction of deforestation which has already impacted one fourth of the inhabited Earth's surface.

The technical requirements for solar energy utilization are still increasing, namely in the area of increased demands on the advantageousness and durability of the photovoltaic installations.

Pushing the frontiers permanently

The company NELUMBO spol. s r. o. has prepared assemblies of solar power plants according to new strict standards, complying with the high standards of effectiveness of transformation of the solar energy. Those configurations securing high productivity and energy output at keeping low costs, are still being evaluated in such a way that the customer gets really the best available in that area of technology at the time and, of course, for acceptable price.

To step into the right light

One of the essential elements of effectiveness of a module is the reflection ability of the surface of the cell. This determines which amount of light will pass through the transformation layer. The ionization process in the modules delivered by the company NELUMBO spol. s r. o. roughens, in a microwave scale, the surface into pyramidal structure. This has a consequence of multiple light reflections, enhancing the yield of the module. The dark blue module cells with fashionable frame, fastened on the building roofs, fulfil the aesthetic requirements as well.

In the year 2006, the company NELUMBO spol. s r. o. has built the first big power plant after ratification of the Law on renewable energy resources (OZE).

The term „Photovoltaics" denotes production of electric energy from solar energy. The company NELUMBO spol. s r. o. is, from its launch, involved in solution of situations in deliveries of solar systems throughout the Czech Republic and worldwide, where it provides the photovoltaic systems even in the most complex situations, e. g. for settlements aside from the well trodden paths of civilization or complex high-capacity projects or, eventually, school projects in Africa. Production process

Continuous reduction of the production costs

The polycrystalline photovoltaic modules, such as made by the Kyocera company which we represent in the Czech market, are produced by a casting process, developed and optimized by this company itself in course of a number of decades. This comprises, firstly, casting of rectangular blocks made of polysilicon, which is after cooling divided into four bars. After that, plates are cut from those polysilicon blocks. This procedure is just another example of the path-breaking role of the Kyocera company in the technologic development and it has become, at the same time, virtually accepted as a standard practice worldwide. This has a consequence that the mass production keeping its quality standards becomes more economical.

Energy modules for energy inverters

Perfect cohesion of the modules and voltage inverters means, for the installation worker and for the user as well, simpler planning, higher energy yield and more reliable long-term stability; this means overally higher economy and effectiveness. The inverters are at disposal with power outputs from 1.5 kW to 300 kW. The modular structures enable the utilization of e. g. as much as three MPP-trackers working independently on each other. This also brings other advantages in the energy utilization of the PV systems with different geographic structure, partial shielding and different number of modules in a row.

The company NELUMBO spol. s r. o., as one of the leading representatives in the field of photovoltaic systems, understands as its natural responsibility to introduce the most strict quality standards for solar applications in the process spreading from design to final installation. All the „NELUMBO applications" pass through close checking of functionality before commencing the installation.

Never absolutely satisfied

The audits and certification are just one of the indicators of the quality policy of the Company. All the steps of the implementation process are performed within the entire company. This allows 100% control, leading to fully automated process with unified and constant above-average level of quality. All types of assemblies being sold in the Czech Republic are submitted to quality tests. The process of installation and storage is not harmful to the environment.

Exemplary efficiency

Individual checks secure that the deliveries for the customer leaving the factory are only the series with high efficiency and optimum utilization of the assemblies. The NELUMBO assemblies generate a very high annual energy yield. Supposed a four-member family has an average consumption of electric energy approximately 3.600 kWh, an assembly of ca. 4 kWp is needed to cover their overall energy need by means of a photovoltaic installation. 1 kWp (corresponding to e. g. five 200 Wp modules) will generate approximately 1.000 kWh of electric energy at a given location annually. (This example holds for Central Europe.)
All of the NELUMBO applications are submitted to close checking already prior to commencement of the installation.

Warranty

The investment into a photovoltaic power plant requires that the photovoltaic power plant works for 20 years at least. The applications of the company NELUMBO spol. s r. o. fulfil this requirement, in some cases we provide warranty on output power for even 25 years!

Above-standard warranty period

On the basis of the recent conditions stipulated by the General terms of trade, the company NELUMBO spol. s r. o. offers a warranty of 36 months for the whole assembly and 20* years warranty for the power output of the photovoltaic modules. This all is an evidence of the best expression of maximum reliability and durability possible.

Best utilization of the Government Aid

The photovoltaic market in the Czech Republic: the recent legislation offers much higher premiums for power take-off of the solar energy than in the case of public networks. This remunerates the attachment of a network, when the operators of a solar system receive more for usage of the solar energy, than they would pay for the local source (purchase/sale principle). This is duly regulated and guaranteed by the Law on renewable energy resources (OZE).
